President’s Report

1.  James stated that meeting presentations would start up again at the January 2021 meeting.  We are always looking for more presentations for our meetings.

2.  The Weather Net will be restarting on November 17th,.  This year, we will do the Weather Net and the Swap and Sell Net together on the 3rd Tuesday each month.  The Weather Net is to practice giving a weather reports so when we are activated by the Weather Service, we will be ready.  John Hotelling KC1DRW agreed to be in charge of that net.  The Swap and Sell Net is a chance for you to get used equipment or anything connected to Ham Radio i.e. QST Books, Antenna Books, Study Materials or radio parts.  Sonny Packard K1VOR has agreed to run that net so call him with anything     you are looking for or want to move @764-1015.

3.  Field Day – James requested that Jim Cerrato send him a list of the Field Day    Committee members.  Jim reported that he would be meeting with the Mall Manager tomorrow.  Field Days is June 26 & 27th, 2021.

Old Business:

1.  Insurance Issue:  Roy and Steve met with State Farm Ins.  Steve reported that we met and reviewed all issues that the membership had questions on.   The club has $15,000. On off site equipment i.e. repeater with a $500 deductible plus $1,000.000 liability from injuries done at events.  We also have other coverage’s like borrowed equipment.  A copy of our police will be  kept by the Treasurer and be available when needed.

2.  Work continues on moving the club repeater.  New Antenna and Cable are up and we should move the rest shortly.  We can expect to have the repeater  down a few days while we move and reconnect everything.  Having a repeater  costs money yearly, which we get from club dues.  So if you want to continue  to use the repeater, please pay your share of the costs!

New Business:

1.  Club members voted to have the December meeting by Zoom.  The December  Meeting will be very informal and short.

2.  Members voted to Cancel all club events for the remainder of 2020.

3.  No Annual Skywarn Event this year in Caribou.  NWS is in Lockdown.

Meeting was adjourned at 1900.

Respectfully Submitted:
