Call to Order:  18:30 by V.P. Roy Woods KB1WGN

Introduction of members.  No guests.

Treasurer’s Report:  Interest 32 cents 3771.89 current bank balance.  Had $40 in PayPal, $40 more got put in PayPal so should have $80.00 to transfer

Secretary’s Report: Tammy moved to accept minutes Sam seconded.  All approved.

EMCOM:  Had training on Ice storm nets.  Went through Go Kits.  Activated on Jan. 20 by National Weather Service.  Two ARES went to weather bureau to work radios and had 15 others give reports.  Got several hundred reports from Kittery through Fort Kent.  Real good reports statewide.  Roy been working with new ARES connect program.  Continuing to do radio checks for hospitals, EMA, Weather Bureau.  Got ID badges for TAMC.  Still working on Mars Hill and Houlton.

Started doing weather net every other week.  Don’t have to be member of team – any Ham can participate.  Give the info that is available to you on weather conditions.

Field Day:  Jim:  Sat 22 June, 2019.  Historically it’s been 24 hours Sat-Sun.  Had discussion with some members and proposing a “Fun Day” rather than Field Day.  Perhaps set up at Cerrato Family Ranch.  Set up at noon, be operational by 2pm, be done by evening, have BBQ at the end.  More of a social gathering with radios instead of official contest.  Send invitations to schools to invite students to become familiar with Ham Radio.  This is something the club should give feedback to Jim C.  If someone wants to stay overnight and operate, that’s no problem.  But as far as club is concerned, be more of a fun activity.

Officer Recruitment:  Sam.  This turns out to be a real job every year.  Got a lot of help from Roy.  Report passed around to club members and on file with Secretary.  Report is not the election list.  Nominations are still open, anyone who wants to be considered for election contact Sam.

PRESIDENT’S REPORT:

Received coffee and cups from Tim Horton’s $8.00 for box of coffee.  Roy suggested do that every time for club meetings.

Roy moved to have 50/50 draw to offset coffee expense.  Seconded by Dina.  Approved unanimously.

Old Business:

Always looking for new programs/presentations.  Don’t always have to be Ham radio related.

– YouTube has good tutorial for Ham radio, training programs, etc.

– Christmas Party.  Jim C. reports everyone was happy, party was well done and XYL is so happy with it wants to host again.

New Business:  Roy has identified a couple of prospective new members will follow up.

Jim suggested Pledge of Allegiance to start meeting followed by moment of silence for Silent Keys.

The program was provided by Dave, KB1EBG, and it was a demonstration of the different sounds of the digital modes of amateur radio.  Thanks Dave.
