Secretary’s Report: Tammy moved to accept minutes. Roy second.  All approved.

EMCOM:  Took December off, as normal.  Next meeting Jan . 19.  at EOC.  Open to any Ham that has an interest in joining team.  Roy, Steve, Dave Berry, met with director at AR Gould re moving radio system.  He was in favor.  Took old antenna, Steve working on it.  Trying to upgrade Mars Hill.  Checking all radios from Fort Kent to Houlton.  Got new CEO in Houlton, very supportive of Ham radio.

Field Day:  no report

Public Information Officer:  no report

Officer Recruitment:  Sam reports no progress on officer recruitment.  Pretty discouraged.  Total of four people have responded to request, two offered good reasons why couldn’t serve; other two are willing to serve in any capacity asked.  Nomination committee should be appointed at next month’s meeting with elections in March.  Solicitations have gone out via e-mail and word of mouth.  So far, only two people interest in taking a position.  Ivan not going to be President, he hopes someone is going to be able to do that.

YouTube Channel:  – Jason Chasse setting up YouTube channel for AARA.  Ivan hoping this is good tool for recruiting new members.

PRESIDENT’S REPORT:

– Have topics for Jan. and Feb meetings.

– Encourage use of club’s Elmer program.  Use YouTube as resource for learning more about Ham radio.

Old Business:  none

If you feel you can help at the NWS – Let me know soon.  If you can help from home, give us a report at the above times tomorrow.
