Public Info Officer: Jim, KC5UEQ.  If club has anything to send to media forward to Jim.

EMCOM – Roy.  ARES met Sept 16 county EOC caribou.  Good presentation on emergency handbook guide.  Meeting went well.  Everything voted on for coming year.  Team going to be busy this year.  Big drill on Oct 28, statewide emergency drill.  In Caribou this year, need all ARES members.  Continuing to do monthly radio checks at hospital and weather bureau.  Received email from Weather Bureau; they are having one more weather spotter class.

EXECCOMM – No report

PRESIDENT’S REPORT – Fall social Oct. 21, 2017 Dunntown church.  Thanks Dwayne for setting up.

Christmas Party Dec. 7. Thursday night, so no club meeting. Pres. has limited dinner menu available.  Everything looks good.  Went with limited menu instead of being tied into buffet.  Will be at Caribou Inn & Conv. Center.

Education.  Education is important.  Still want to learn more things.  November program will be presented by Jason Chasse on power packs.  Need more programs.  Anyone able to present a program should e-mail President.

There are copies of past programs now posted on club website under “Educational Programs” to see some of the programs presented during past club meetings.

We have Elmering program to network people with knowledge of particular aspects of Ham radio with those who want to learn more.  Elmers are listed on website.

President encourages all to learn CW.  With inferior sunspots we anticipate HF propagation to be less than good.

Old Business: -none-

Went around table gave introductions of all members

New Business: Application from Tracy Nichols N3POZ.  Moved to accept by Roy.  Sonny seconded.  Approved unanimous.

Sonny suggested club could try teaching CW on 2 meters or 10 meters.

Jim.  Had some complaints about how he conducts the net (boring).  Have formed couple of nets in morning on 20 meters.  There is a historian on that net that gives history on that date.  Will try that during some upcoming nets.
